The City of Berkeley Lake is fortunate to be the home of an unusually large number of artists of various media. Our artists contribute to shows at the city's Blue Heron Gallery and hold their own art show from time to time.
Our citizens are unusually civic-minded and willing to participate in social, civic, and charitable causes. Local groups include:

- The Artists of Berkeley Lake
The city includes two recreational areas, the park and playground at city hall, and over 72 acres of greenspace near the intersection of Ridge Road and North Berkeley Lake Road.
