Variances

Occasionally, proposed construction does not comply with zoning ordinance requirements, such as setbacks, and a variance must be approved before a permit can be issued. 

Variance requests are heard and decided by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Variance applications and Owner's Authorization, if needed, must be submitted according to the submission schedule to allow sufficient time for required advertising and for staff analysis and preparation of a report.
