Bob Smith

Bob was elected to the council in 2011. His current term expires December 31, 2027.

Bob and his wife Donna have lived at Berkeley Lake for over 37 years. They visited our lake community years ago to attend a community bingo party held in the Bagley home, thus setting in motion a decision to someday move to this beautiful place. They have a daughter and two grandchildren who live in Seattle, Washington.

Bob graduated from Georgia Tech and formerly served on the Berkeley Lake City Council in the 1980's when the council met in the converted fishbait house. Prior to retirement he was a real estate developer and home builder, mainly in Gwinnett County. He currently serves as an elder at nearby Perimeter Church.

Bob considers it a privilege to be a part of the active Berkeley Lake community serving on the council and as liaison between the city and the citizen finance committee. He also served on the Lake Berkeley Dam reconstruction committee which completed its responsibilities in 2013.
